Both David and Elizabeth were eager to go back to school again this year. David couldn't wait to be with friends. I don't think he realized the differences from Kindergarten to 1st grade, but after a week or so he settled in nicely. He has not been as thrilled about going each day as last year, but he continues to maintain a positive attitude. Elizabeth was shy about preschool as usual, but really does do better during the year with a schedule then the laid back, irregular days of summer. The first few weeks before school starts are always crazy with me working full time preparing, but once school itself begins, life settles down in routine and Elizabeth thrives on routine and structure. She was happy to see Mrs. Fink again too, although she often doesn't show it.
