This year we were so excited that we could attend Bible School and go to Myrtle Beach (most years they overlap). I taught 1st grade and loved it! However, I was exhausted each evening after lesson planning was finally over and I had collected all my teaching props, etc. I had a very challenging class complete with an extreme behavior student (like I am sure he has an IEP and works with a behavior specialist during the school day), a blind student, a muslim, and an ELL student. I loved it though and I am SO THANKFUL for the AMAZING 3 junior high boys that helped... YES I said amazing and junior high boys together. They were WONDERFUL and we only left behind our blind student one time :) And sweet Shari brought him to me! And of course the day Alicia come come help my behavior friend wasn't there only that day. The Lord sure had a lot to teach me that week!
We were also VERY blessed with WONDERFUL teachers for David (thanks Ms. Jill) and Elizabeth (thanks Mrs. Broffitt)! Most of these pictures are from Laura, thanks friend! I didn't even have time to use the restroom some days! I am so thankful for all the volunteers and I know it was a very special time for my kids and the kids in my class and God taught them so much!
