Uncle Josh bought a real shovel at WalMart this year because he wanted to do some serious digging, sand castle building, and burying whoever would volunteer.

Noah wanted to be buried and Ella sort of did... we tried to give her a mermaid tail!

Our sand castle complete with duckies that floated around the "moat." We had to work fast as the tide kept moving up and it was hard keeping the kids focused to complete it :) So it was a quick and easy castle!

Every time Josh found a hermit crab we kept it in a special water hole and then let them all go at the end. The kids had so much fun watching them come out and scurry around. We took video, but I will spare you :)

My favorite part of being at the beach - relaxing in the sun!

More beach fun

He dug the hole and then I had to fill it back in... back breaking work! It was a big hole!

Every morning we went to the beach and played in the sand, collected seashells, a few times went in the water and then always headed over to one of the 5 pools for all the afternoon!

David finally being brave and entering the water with Uncle Joshy!

Aunt Alicia was a joy to have around to help love on the kiddos and make sure everyone was accounted for and having fun!

Elizabeth loved to "salta" into the water with Aunt Alicia and did it no less than thirty times a day! Alicia was very good at always teaching her Spanish and so Elizabeth kept saying she wanted to "salta" instead of jump!

Out on the pier at nighttime with the kids' friend Ella too. They both ADORED their time with her!

What Elizabeth does while others are golfing :)

Every street had a beautiful golfing fun! Grandpa helped David and he improved a lot over the week!

Being silly at one of the golf stops

My fabulous family! My mom wasn't too into golfing and stayed with Elizabeth.

The resort even had a Children's Museum. Their theme was the World Travels of Barbaar. The kids loved dressing up in each country! This is in Paris

Spain practicing how to flamenco dance!

Elizabeth was a natural :)

In Italy - you can see how well thought out the museum was. They had activities for the kids throughout each country complete with an area to watch Barbaar movies, lots of dress up stops, a place to read books on CDs in different languages, a demonstrating of Flamenco dancing, tea at a table on the ground in Japan, a place to write postcards to friends/family about the different things they were learning (and the museum mailed them for free and for real) and so much more! We wish we had longer to stay there, but it never rained while we were there and we didn't find out how great it was until the last day!
If you are wondering where Phillip was he had to stay in Iowa and work. BUT we sent him pictures, texts, and talked on the phone. And he surprised me with a BEAUTIFULLY painted bedroom when we got home! Thanks Honey for working so hard for us!
Thank you to Grandpa and Grandma Herman for driving, the hotel, the meal tickets, and all the memories! We are SO THANKFUL we got to go see the ocean again, even if it does take 17 hours to get there packed tight with 7 people :)
