Chucky Cheese

Phillip got to take Thursday off last week, as Monday was already his day off from working the weekend. We decided to skip naps and head to Cedar Rapids. After shopping for a few things at Super Target we headed to Chucky Cheese, for the kids first time ever! I grew up going to Chucky Cheese yearly with my cousins to celebrate birthdays. They really have updated the place, and it looked clean and new! I LOVED that the kids were stamped with a number that matched ours and that to leave the place with a kid you had to have a matching glow-in-the-dark stamp. It made me feel so good someone couldn't take a child and leave! I was also impressed that all games are only one token, and there is even a crawling area that is free! A few of the games took pictures of the kids and printed them for free, which was great too! Unfortunately, my camera ran out of batteries about 20 minutes into the night so I only have a few pictures to document this monumental trip, but I am sure there is another trip in our future. Although, Phillip is convinced you can't just go there "just cause" but that it needs to be for a birthday or a big deal! I totally get it, but sometimes you just need to be a place, "where a kid can be a kid!"

An intense helicopter ride
The pony moves and you have to make it "jump" when on the screen there is a hurdle. It was funny watching Elizabeth try to figure out the rules!
Needless to say, Elizabeth and David were not big ticket winners so daddy kept playing certain games and won 175 tickets at one time! I loved watching them play ski ball as the ball ended up on other peoples lane, sometimes didn't even make it up to the top part, and sometimes went backwards instead of on the lane!
