Elizabeth's Dedication

On April 11th, we finally got to dedicate Elizabeth Faith! Before friends and family, by God's grace, Phillip and I committed to pray for Elizabeth, teach her God's word, fellowship with believers, and model Jesus to her. We believe that one day she will have to confess Jesus as Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead on her own, and we are praying to that end daily!

Like her mama, Andrea Faith, we pray Elizabeth Faith will have unwavering faith in God's existence, love, and goodness. We are praying these verses over her. Hebrews 11:1 "Now FAITH is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." And Hebrews 12:1-2 "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

Pastor Dave asking us questions about if we will pray and teach Elizabeth God's word (David does NOT suck his thumb... no idea what he was doing!)Grandpa Herman prayed Hannah's prayer (1 Samuel 1, 2) over Elizabeth "I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. ²⁸ So now [we] give [Elizabeth] to the LORD. For [her] whole life [she] will be given over to the LORD. [Our] heart rejoices in the LORD; in the LORD [our] horn is lifted high. There is no one holy like the LORD; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.

Aunt Becca, Uncle Josh, Grandpa Herman, and us! The dedication was at 11:00 and there was 26 children being dedicated! We were third from the end and the kids were tired and hungry by the end when we took pictures! It was a special day though! Our blessed family!

The Wetjens' dedicated Kate and Mya and the Eastmans' dedicated Mia. We all have a 4 year old and then a younger sibling(s). The guys are two of the guys that Phillip attends "Man Cave" with occasionally on Wednesdays. We get blessed by the Wetjen's boat and the Eastmen's jet skis all summer! All of them on the tech crew with Phillip too!
Our precious friends the Hoberts' also dedicated their youngest, Elise Joy!
