Because it was David's birthday he got to be the "special helper" for the day at preschool. He wore a special birthday crown and the kids sang to him for his birthday.

Helping his teacher, Mrs. Fink, with calendar time - David knew the pattern and told her what was next - a pink heart!

Getting to dress the boy with the right clothes based on the weather for the day

Counting out 14 gum balls since it was the number of the day

Reviewing the days of the week
David got to "lead" (he didn't even sing, but just did the actions) the weather song too and check the weather outside.
This was the only minute, I thought to even take video! :)

Elizabeth and I stayed for snack time too! We tried story time, but Elizabeth wanted to play with all the toys, instead of sit on the yellow circle and listen... I hope she will be ready someday! :)

The cupcakes were a great hit, but I don't think many apples were eaten :)

Some other preschool friends - Tali is the one looking at the camera!

The one in blue stripes next to David is Ethan. David came home from preschool after his birthday and asked, "Mom, can Ethan come over and play someday. He wants to play my new wii. He likes the jet ski game. He has spiky hair like daddy, and some straight hair like me."

I really can't believe he is four! I remember when you first had him and would bring him to SI with you:) And my is he a cutie! Glad his special day went so well, and I loved the comment about the spikey hair:)
Such a big boy. Such a good mom taking in healthy treats as well. The thought of taking in healthy stuff never even entered my mind! :)
Good job with the cupcakes. At Baylor's preschool we aren't allowed to bring anything but graham crackers and juice or milk....BORING! Wish I could make cupcakes :)
I really like all the things they're learning contextually counting, days of the week, proper clothing, patterns). That is something I wish our nursery would do.
