Birthday Breakfast- Pt. 2

Since David's birthday fell on a Sunday this year, instead of making a big family breakfast for his birthday, I decided just to go to Hy-Vee for doughnuts. He has only had a doughnut a couple of times ever, and I thought it would be something special to distract him from the fact daddy was gone and that and he couldn't open any presents until at least 2 or so when daddy got off work!
David needed a pink picture for preschool, so I thought the Valentine's/Birthday doughnut would work! LOVE the cheese! :)
In action
We definitely were the entertainment for quite a few elderly people. I heard constant chuckles as the kids ate and interacted. Elizabeth was a favorite to many, but she did not like the attention and would bury her head in my shoulder every time someone came up to her and touched her cheek. I couldn't believe how stereotypical, but true it was for her!!! They adored her and enjoyed David's goofiness :)

After breakfast, before going to church, I went to the photo section and printed a few pictures for David to take to preschool. One of the little old ladies who enjoyed watching the kids came over and asked me if I was printing the pictures I had just taken! She was very amazed! It was cute!

I wish I could say that is all the donuts Abigail has eaten! ;) She gets them when she meets me at work, when daddy rides the bus in to school. Now I think it's a tradition!

LOVE the black and white. How cool!
