On Thursday of North Liberty Days there is no alcohol served and you can buy an arm band and go on all the rides from 5 to 9pm. So David and his friend Devin and Ella each got a band and rode rides from 7 to 9! Phillip never lets us to do Carnival ride so this was a big step :) The kids had a BLAST and we can't wait to go to Adventureland this year! Elizabeth did not get a band, but REALLY wanted to ride the rides too.

Notice how the boys are not into the picture and Ella gives a delightful smile!

This is the tilt-a-whirl. We knew the kids didn't get the concept so we sent them on with some bigger kids to twirl them! It was great! :)

These bugs actually went quite fast and the kids loved it!

David was excited, but nervous to sit in the truck! He had asked so many questions!

First date?

Since the adults didn't have arm bands we couldn't ride with the kids. We thought they might chicken out and it was hard to get the mats set up so Heath helped the kids get started. We were cracking up at the kids and cheering to encourage bravery and were clapping so all eyes were on them and then

they pushed off, but all got stuck at the first hump as they had no weight to keep them going down the slide. The whole line of people laughed at them and Heath as he tried to push each of them off again.

Finally they figured out how to use their weight to keep going! And then we had to wait in line and do it again another 2 times! The evening was very much worth the $12 wrist band!

That looks really fun! I am glad there wasn't any alcohol...I was a bit worried David wouldn't know his limits. ;) Loved his Wall-E shirt- very cute! Have you taken him to a movie yet? I am guessing no. me neither by the way (it's like $12 here anyway!!!)
I know what I'll be doing next year this time :)
Our kids loved it. Next year I am sure that Tana will be in the same boat as Elizabeth.
That looks like tons of fun. You are doing a great job documenting your summer. Keep up the good work!
