Story 1:
Me: Let's practice your AWANA verses.
Elizabeth: No, I am busy.
Seriously, I about pulled over... I was so convicted, how often does she hear that?!?
Story 2:
On Wednesday this week I got a call from my sister telling me to the call the doctor and set up an appointment for Elizabeth immediately. She told me that a googly eye was stuck. I called and was there in 15 minutes. My mom and sister got there soon with the kids too. Alicia took David home so he wouldn't make Elizabeth more worried and my mom and I waited. Elizabeth seemed a little anxious, but wasn't crying and sounded all stuffed up.
When we went back to the room the doctor prepped me on how he would try to get it with an alligator tool, but that we may need to go to the hospital for an ENT doctor to get it out. The googly eye was stuck far up there! He warned me that there may be blood and that Eizabeth would have to be put in a papoose. My mom was there so I wasn't too worried. Elizbeth remained calm and let Dr. Boyson check her out. Even when we went into the other room and put her on a surgical table and then strapped her down in 4 places, she didn't cry. My mom held her head and I just tried to cradle and talk to her. Her heart was beating fast, but she did not cry. He then used a tool to open up her nostril wide and then another tool to go way up and pinch the eye. Dr. Boyson got it out in about 4 seconds and then Elizabeth and I started crying tears of relief! Thank God that David told my mom the truth (he had done it first and then she tried and it got stuck), my mom was there, and that Dr. Boyson is the best!
