We are so blessed by my parents every year with a pass to the Iowa Children's Museum. Besides having a GREAT places for the kids to discover and play during winter or rainy days, we also get into Children's Museum's around the country for free! One of those is in Chicago and we got to go for the first time on Monday before coming home to Iowa City!
Although I have been to Chicago, many many times in my life, this was my first time to the Pier! I only have looked at it from across the street!
Outside on the Pier
The view outside
Watching the water jump from fountain to fountain
Excited by the noises of the falling water
The fireman exhibit, was a favorite! It was complete with a truck, hoses, a burning building, and a fire pole!
Trying to connect all the right hoses - David loved this part!
The kids got to put on coats, pants, and fire boots! No hats, due to lice, I guess!
Playing the water room. We went to this room twice for a LONG time!
There is a whole wall of raincoats for the kids to wear! It is great!
I had to document how she put all her ducks in a row!
You could build dams, or there is a place for that worked like a lock too. I think this was my favorite room!
Elizabeth kept collecting all the ducks and the lady that worked in the room had to come and ask for some for other kids!

Digging up dinosaurs bones - really you have to go to this place!!
