A couple weeks ago, it rained and no soccer. This past Thursday it was sunny, and we enjoyed a beautiful day for his last soccer game! There was only one extra player this week so the kids all got lots of playing time. David also got to experience goalie, much to our terror! He saved a goal twice and was scored on once. It was more than I could handle, and yes, it was Tot soccer. I was so nervous for him. The coach asked him if he wanted to change spots after he was scored on, but he said no and tried it a little more. The hard part for me is that he has an attention span of a flea at times, and if the ball wasn't right there he was out to lunch!!! Also, we have not practiced picking up the ball when all the feet and kids are coming at you! But it was a good experience for all of us, and we did win the game 5-2.

These out to lunch moments were much more common than actually paying attention to where the ball was.

The high fives in a line at the end of the game, was almost as much a feat as winning the game! The very first game, most of the kids had absolutely NO IDEA of how to stand in a line, give high fives, and keep walking forward!!! The two kids in front of David (the ones that are a foot taller than him), Finn and Danny, made all 5 goals!!

I thought they didn't keep score in tot soccer.
haha! We are LOVING soccer too! We have two more make up games left. They really actually play games? Cool! Don't worry, Abigail takes napping breaks in the middle of the feild. I noticed most of the kiddos at this age have that short attention span too, even for soccer. Some of the other girls loves to twirl around together during the game, others pick "flowers". :)
