Winter Wonderland

No school today. No school tomorrow. I sure wish I loved baking! The kids and I had a great lazy day inside, but without any baking. I am considering trying something tomorrow :) It is just that I don't have a mixer. The one I was given by my mother-in-law started on fire last winter. A KitchenAid is not likely this Christmas... maybe next year! I did make two good dinners though, if I do say so myself.

Today we didn't even get out of our pj's all day! Daddy had to go to work though, only him and the maintenance/grounds keeper were at church all day. This weekend is the big Christmas program (all are welcome) and he worked on setting up 40 mics today! Before work he got to use his snow blower on our driveway and the neighbor's. I felt bad when he got home tonight and it looked like he hadn't even plowed because of the wind, but thus is the way of winter!
It is too cold to go outside and take pictures :) These are from yesterday when there wasn't much snow. David was not impressed with the wind and was not happy that I didn't bring the van to Lanira's house and that we had to walk home. He wouldn't even look at the camera, and whined most of the way home. I am thankful both his coat, snow pants, and gloves fit from last year and Elizabeth's coat we got in the spring for 5 dollars on clearance. We just had to buy her snow pants, and a new hat for him.

You sure got your wish for snow! I shall blame you for the 17 inches of snow and 5 foot drifts outside my house! ;) I love watching the little ones in their snowsuits--they're barely able to move!

I wish we lived closer....I would have tried to brave the elements and come bake with you. I did bake on my two days off from school. I made treats for the teachers for Friday...and for a cookie exchange that I will participate in. Then mom and dad will get all the goodies I come home with. I can't have them!
