Saturday's Sweetness

Saturday morning started with garage saleing (is that a word?)! Elizabeth and David didn't even wake up until 7:37 and the garage sales started in North Liberty at 8:00. So I put them in the car with their breakfast and they ate on the way :) Unfortunately, it was raining again, a theme this weekend! Although, we didn't buy that much, we had fun! Phillip was really hoping to get some speakers and we drove to the edge of N.L just for the speakers, but the guy said they decided the night before not to sell them. The kids did great! David LOVES going and really doesn't whine when we say no 20 times because there usually always one yes at one of the places! :) I was very proud of him! He got an Erector set for 1 dollar and a Jay Jay the Jet helicopter and airplane for 50 cents. And for another 50 cents Elizabeth got the Little People doll house we were missing for our Little People city! (Thank you Carrie and Emily for the rest of the city!)

After bargain hunting we went to IHOP for a late breakfast and then home for naps. As soon as naps were over we went boating! Although, not raining it was still cloudy and cold for June, but that did not stop us! The kids had a WONDERFUL time playing in the water, riding a jet ski ( Wish I had my camera), and eating yummy snacks and dinner on the boat. This picture is about 2 minutes into the car ride home. We weren't even out of the park!
Thank you Lord for a wonderful 1st week of summer and special friends and family!

Next week is VBS and Grandma G is coming to town! Yeah!

Are you officially down to one nap for peanut?

I wish I could have shopped with you! We were given the Little People doll house here, too! PTL for cheerful givers, like the Sterners and friends here...Carrie could have sold all that stuff, bless her!

I am particularly fond of sleeping kids in car seats. I always wanted to just keep driving in order to enjoy continued peace and quiet.

I am so thrilled that you are getting some more fun out toys that my younger ones were very fond of. It is sweet that there are still little hands making memories with them, especially kiddos I am so fond of. Enjoy!
