Mary Had a Little Lamb

So the last couple of days David has been saying "lamby" and then crying. I had no idea what has been about and I have been trying to figure what is going on for days. (He is a little touchy lately anyway). Today David and Phillip were watching an Elmo sing along video and David started crying saying "lamby sad no school." He kept seriously crying for awhile. Finally we figured out in the DVD they sing "Mary had a little lamb" and they do not let the lamb go to school with Mary. Apparently David is upset that the lamb can't go to school and is left out. We tried explaining that animals can't go to school just little boys and girls, but he still was sad. What a caring heart!

Yesterday he was trying to explain one of the other songs too and talking about a big elephant, a ball and saying kachoo. That was the song about losing your poor meatball and Snuffy from Sesame Street goes chasing after it after his sneeze sent it rolling.

It is hilarious his desire to summarize songs or movies, but he still lacks complete sentence structure and some words. I can't believe how much he remembers, we really are careful about what he watches!
