Elizabeth Faith Gugliuzza

As many of you know on April 3rd at 10:33pm we finally got to meet Elizabeth Faith. She weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces and measured 18 1/2 inches, which I guess is pretty short. However, at her 2 week check up she measured 21 1/2 inches. So we think the initial measurement was incorrect and she is now in the 90th percentile for length.

The details...

I had a doctors appointment that morning and due to my kind of high blood pressure, Dr. Wenzel sent me to Mercy for a non-stress test. We did not pass the test because Elizabeth's heartbeat was low at times. They sent us to another test and we scored 6/8 on that test (which counts as failing) so Dr. Wenzel called and said that we were going to have a baby that day! It was two weeks early and I was still planning on teaching all of that week, but plans changed! Grandma Herman came for David and Phillip ran home to get stuff together and put the car seat in the van and the doctor broke my waters at 2:00pm. Elizabeth came 8 1/2 hours later which was great compared to 26 hours from water breaking to delivery with David!
