Tball - Go Cubs!

On June 6th, David began his first T-Ball season. We debated back and forth about whether to begin the rush of going to practice Monday and Wednesday evenings during the much of the summer. We also knew David hadn't had a lot of practice throwing, batting, and catching. But we decided it is better to start sometime and ultimately he wanted to do it. It isn't for very long and it is close to the house, depending on where the games are, we can walk to some of the parks. He missed two practices while we were on vacation, but he did great at his first game anyway! It is low key and just for the kids to start learning the basics. He is loving it so I just need to remember to calm down (I am trying not to critique coaching styles!) and enjoy his joy! :)

Ready to bat

Up to bat

Made it to first!

Running home

Fielding the ball

They tried to teach the boys to throw to first everytime, but David would be so happy he got the ball he would just hold it.

Love his readiness!

But the readiness pose didn't last very long :)

Laughing with a teammate about something

Elizabeth has/gets to come to the practice and games right now, as well. She does a great job amusing herself with trees, dancing, and cracking daddy up. She is just a free spirit. She LOVES to dance! Love that about her!

P.S. Thanks to daddy for the great pictures, like usual, and Aunt Alicia for Elizabeth's dress she bought her in Mexico. Also note, she is wearing tennis shoes only because she had a sore in-between her toes.
