Our Family Day

On Wednesday of Spring Break, Phillip took the day off and we decided to go to Bettendorf to the Family Museum. If you have an Iowa Children's Museum pass, you can get in for free! Many of the exhibits are very different than our Children's Museum and there is a GREAT outdoor courtyard with a park and picnic area. There is also a water exhibit outside, but it wasn't open yet.

Playing outside - love that Elizabeth is "driving" the car full of boys around. We were so excited because the Iowa State Insect Zoo was at the museum for the afternoon. They did a presentation of different insects, arachnids, and arthropods. The kids could touch many different types afterward, including hissing cockroaches. Reading about tarantulas and touching old exoskeletons.
