David: "Now, repeat after me. 1, 2, 3.... (me: 1, 2, 3)... Mom, you need to touch the numbers as you repeat after me."
Future teacher, maybe?!! Either he is going to preschool too much or I talk too much like a teacher at home. We were reading, Chicka, Chicka 1, 2, 3 and he was counting to 100 for me and wanted me to repeat and follow along!
On evenings when Phillip and I are both at home we rotate who does Elizabeth and who does David's bedtime routine (David's routine is much longer). On my nights with Elizabeth we usually read 5 or 6 books (short, board books) and then sing 3-4 songs. Elizabeth almost always asks for more when I get done singing, which I usually can't help but give in. Last night she started making requests. I thought it was so precious that my 1 year old daughter was asking for, "Mayzin Grace." Of course, we had to sing all 3 verses. She asked for it again tonight! I love it when she sings with me! Right now she sounds like the Penguin on Happy Feet who just screeches off key, but I have hope!!

Sylvia just recently started asking me not to sing to her at bedtime. It was very sad so enjoy your little girl who always wants more.
