Every other year we get to go to Chicago to Phillip's aunt and uncle' house and celebrate Thanksgiving. His parents always meet us there and we LOVE being with family! We often go downtown and see the big Christmas tree, look at the storybook windows, and visit the street vendors. This time the guys took a shopping day on Wednesday and even fixed the brakes on the van, and then the girls took their shopping day on Friday. Our day was complete with a special lunch and lots of great deals! Thanks Mama G and Aunt Sie for letting me become part of this special tradition!!

Feeding their "pet" squirrels. David even let the squirrel eat a walnut from his hand!

Cuddle time with cousin Anthony

Cuddle time with Michael - the boys were so good to let David follow after them and play with him, and share all their cool toys!

Bonding time with Uncle Frank - Elizabeth was VERY moody the whole trip and clung to me and and Phillip for almost 4 days straight minus a few quick cuddles from grandma, grandpa, and Uncle Frank whenever she would allow it! She was what I like to call, "a stink pot." But then David called her that so I had to stop :)

Grandma G bringing in Elizabeth's Christmas present. I LOVE the look on her face!
She LOVES her new baby doll!

So happy!

Opening up some cars from the movie Cars and a new train from Michael and Anthony, and Uncle Frank and Aunt Siu!

Notice Elizabeth feeding her baby doll and still enthralled with her present!

Grandma G opening her gift from a us - a digital photo frame already to go loaded with pictures of us, the kids, Matt's wedding and the cruise.

Both kids got really cute new clothes from Grandma and Grandpa!

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for all the special gifts and most of all for your time with us!

Checking out grandpa's gift.

Playing with her very first tea set - thank you Grandma and Grandpa G!

Wearing part of her new outfit while carrying her new baby around.

Love the baby in one hand and new tea set in the other!

I don't know exactly what to do with her hair, but something needs to be done... any ideas?

Those are really cute photos! We have that same tea set and the girls have played and played with it forever. Your daughter's hair seems similar to what my youngest daughter's hair was for awhile. I'm not sure what you do, but we used a lot of the Johnson and Johnson detangler (the other brands seemed too greasy). This may sound silly but I use two different brushes on the girls. After the detangler I start with a wider toothed brush which kind of helps the tangles. Then I end with a brush that has the teeth closer together which kind of softens the hair and smoothes it out nice. If she has some wave like my youngest does I then run my fingers through it a bit to make it wavier. Anyway...sorry to ramble. :)
