Halloween 2oo9

We got a late start on pumpkins this year. We didn't want to do it last weekend as we thought they might mold if we did it too early. Work this week unexpectedly got really busy for Phillip, so we didn't get to it until today... the day of! The kids had a wonderful time and daddy was a great sport!
Elizabeth was very curious about every stage of the carving and wanted to be very close to the action!Unsure of what daddy is doing!
Cleaning out all the gunk! Worried that daddy is touching the yucky stuff now!Considering touching the stuffFeeling the seedsElizabeth actually wanted to taste the pumpkin gunk and liked it!
She ate it a couple of times! Both getting into itStarting in on Elizabeth'sThe supervisor so proud of daddy's skill! The masterpieces
Dr. Gugliuzza and Elizabeth the giraffe ready to go trick or treating!
Elizabeth and her pumpkin! - Yes, David was a giraffe too three years ago. Check out the next picture Emily... bring back memories? I was too cheap for a pumpkin and used yours (David was 8 months though and Elizabeth is 18 in the same outfit!)David Halloween 2006Back to Elizabeth again... Ttrick or treating at our own house :) We went mostly to people we know in the neighborhood. Being in the same neighborhood I teach in there are really a lot of families we know, but David was done after 10 houses or so. We have leftover candy every year though!I don't know if it is because Elizabeth has David to watch or really loves candy, but she caught right onto the routine and would wave bye and even could say "cany' by the end of the night. (Not proud of the last part)
Home again and eating the loot!
Phillip always does such a great job!
The one on the left is David's design (with Daddy's skill bringing it to a reality of course) and the right one is Elizabeth's pumpkin (love the eyes)
