Luke 17:10

"So, you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, 'we are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.' "

Probably not the most quoted verse, but I have been thinking about it none the less. Some days can be a hard as a mother, as I am sure you can attest too. There are many thankless days. Yet, hospitality, submission, providing, encouraging, respecting, teaching, admonishing, disciplining, correcting, these are things I am told to do by our Lord Jesus. I actually should find joy in doing these things that God has been deemed me worthy to entrust me with! And I shouldn't need praise for doing the very things I was told to do, it just is my duty! Not that I am against a little pampering here or there or a thank you, but I should not need those things. Getting to serve Jesus by serving those around me and doing tasks ordained by God are a blessing in themselves! Lord develop in me a servant heart like you.

Well said Andrea but not always so easy to carry out. Way to keep your eyes fixed on Him. Well done! Thanks for the reminder for all of us.
