Let the games begin!

Tonight David and I played Chutes and Ladders, Candyland, Cars Memory, and Go fish all after Elizabeth went to bed! I am a firm believer in playing games to teach winning, losing, patience, and skill at a young age! It does take patience though and there was a one pouting session for a little bit when he was almost to the top of Chutes and Ladders and then hit the big slide! However, he recovered and we played more! :) Any other favorite games out there we should be playing?

ohhhhh how fun for you to do that! I saw chutes and ladders at a garage sale on Sat, but it didn't have a price on it, so I ignored it. You are such a fun mamma! :)

Abbie is a big fan of memory, go fish, crazy 8s, and old maid. Oh, and Bingo. We have played chutes and ladders, but it doesn't keep her attention for very long!

I agree with Jen. I'll have to think about what other ones. There are lots that are good for his age.

We loved the game 'Sorry.' I'm not sure what age I started playing it, but I remember playing it often at my grandparents' house.
