Lately...

David on counting 1...2... 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 (really excited at 10) 11, 13, 14, 13, 14, 14, 17...

David singing the ABCs "A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I K, L, O, M, M, M , P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, W, W, Y, Z next time sing with me" We are working on letter recognition, but he is only consistent with "o". I think we will work on the letters in his name first.

David melts my heart all the time with his constant, "I love you mama."

He is really into gum.

At night time we always sing and the songs very from Twinkle, twinkle to "The rock" to "Jesus Loves me," but his favorite song to always end with is "Bushel and a peck... mom" I am not sure how long he will love my kisses all over him so I am enjoying it while I can.

We go for walks to the park whenever we can. He usually pushed his lawnmower while I carry Elizabeth on my stomach or use the stroller. There is a new path to the park and he just loves it. This last time he got the lawnmower all muddy and he couldn't stop laughing. He LOVED watching the mud go flying off of it! There was one especially watery muddy puddle that he stopped at and asked "mama?" I knew he was asking for permission to jump in the puddle, but I told him that he didn't have his boots on. He looked at the puddle and looked at me for at least 3 minutes and then happily came running after me! I praised his obedience.

We are working most on not taking toys and obeying "come." We are constantly trying to talk about these as heart issues and chances to honor mommy and obey, but I am not sure how much is getting through! :)

Oh and he has a running nose, as well as his sister and I think his mother as of tonight. Good thing I am used to little sleep :)

On that note, Elizabeth has not been eating in the middle of the night. She has continued to wake up fussing multiple times, but we are not going to her and last night I stayed in my bed for the first time from 1o to 6. I can't wait until I can write that I slept from 10 to 6 without waking up, but that should be around the corner. I am thankful that we are making it through this transition time and that I love my daughter very much. She is still struggling with morning naps, but has taken 2 hours or so the last couple of days in the afternoon. We are trying to iron out the kinks, but I have hope and faith and that we will get there! I am just so thankful for my precious baby girl and thankful for God's change in my heart and wisdom from friends. Thank you for your prayers.

Elizabeth is sitting up all the time now and does not like to lay on her back, although she sometimes still falls over. When she gets upset she turns on her stomach and then gets up her legs and looks like she is going to crawl, but she can't actually crawl. She only scoots backwards. One day we were all in David's room and Phillip, David and I left for a moment and then we went back in there to get her and she was under the bed! Just a part of her head was sticking out! It was scary because we didn't see her at first! I would have taken a photo, but she did not find it amusing and I didn't want to turture her and make her stay under there while I ran to get the camera.

She loves her veggies and cereal, but does NOT like peaches at all. Somedays she likes the oatmeal... we tried puffs, but she is not ready for them yet!

Thank you Lord for children. Thank you for teaching me more about yourself through children. Thank you for your grace and mercy when I do not mother as you want me to. Thank you for your Word to encourage and guide me. Thank you Lord for friends to mother alongside me. Thank you Lord for saving a sinner like me.

your night time song encore is better than Jason's - he does Home on the Range and Take me out to the ballgame!

I am enjoying my kids so much and can't wait for #3 to bless us, but I am not excited about sleepless nights!

That was fun catching up on where each kid is! Sounds like a lot of improvement and I am so glad for that! I also liked your Ephesians blog post, too. How do you have the time to do all that you do????
